Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the .NAME domain extension is the single TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At first, only 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you desired to register john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already registered third-level names remained working.

Through our company, you can purchase your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to modify the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer key from the current domain provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been done. There are no special terms on who can acquire a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the objective behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.
